TIPS from the Desk of the Author/Designer of the TALKING Word Search Puzzles,
                                                             Jeri Mertes
Special Tips for those working the BIBLE/FAITH puzzle packets:
If you are serious about learning more of the Bible and getting closer to God, here are some suggestions as to how to do that while working our Talking Biblical Word Search puzzles.

1 –While you are working the puzzle, have a sheet of paper or a journal handy and write each of the scriptures out as you go along..  It has been proven that people remember about 10% of what they hear, 20 % of what they read, and 50% of what they write down.  This can help you get started finding your own favorite verses and memorizing some of them.  The day will come when they will be very helpful to bring to mind in certain situations that life brings your way.

2 - On a puzzle like “Beautiful Savior” if you find a word like “sit” and you are wondering what this has to do with that theme, just ask yourself a question like “What would the word ‘sit’ have to do with Jesus being a Beautiful Savior?” You might come up with an answer like, “He will sit at the right hand of God in Heaven”.  If you can’t think of one, then get out your Thesaurus (or go online) and look for scriptures that include the word ‘sit.’  You will find yourself reading and discovering verses you hadn’t really thought about before.  Just saying . . .

3 – Some of the word search puzzles in the Bible/Faith category do not quote any scriptures or talk about any Biblical characters, but they may be about a subject related to God and His Creation, or they may poke fun at punny words in the Bible.    And some of the puzzles in the other categories, such as 'history' or 'philosophy', may contain one or more references to God in a subject matter that is ‘semi-related’ to Him, such as “The President” where one phrase used is “God Bless The USA”.

4 – All of the Bible/Faith puzzles would be excellent for use in Sunday School classes both for children who can read and just as much for adults, as they can be fun, competitive and full of words and phrases that connect us closer to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  A church could use these as a group activity for contests or fund-raising events.  If time is short, have the groups work as teams to complete the puzzles for prizes (like Bibles, hand-crafted book-marks, note-books, blue ribbons, etc.)   Please honor our request to contact us for permission before making copies of our puzzles for your class or group.  Or consider having your class members go on our site and download the puzzles for themselves, for free of course.  The reason for this is so that we can have a better idea of how many people are enjoying our puzzles, which will give us the incentive to continue creating them.  Going on to our site directly can also give your 'group' a chance to give sign up for our email list and also to give us their own feedback about our puzzles and our free offerings on the 'freebie' page.  Thank you for honoring this request.
