Are You Puzzled? So what is a Talking Puzzle, AND
why would anyone give them away for FREE ? ? ?
Well, one question at a time. Let's start with why they are free . . .
We are Jeri and Steve Mertes, and we happen to believe in a very generous God, who created everything and OWNS everything, and He has given us special talents and abilities which He has asked us to FREELY USE for the BENEFIT of others, especially home-school families and teachers (since He so adequately takes care of us and we are in need of NOTHING). Furthermore, we are having SO MUCH FUN writing, creating and producing these puzzles, and being retired, we have plenty of TIME to do this, thus . . . FREE ! ! ! So read on to learn what makes these puzzles TALK to you, and enjoy.

So, what is a Talking Puzzle ?
Most of our puzzles are narratives that have messages or stories on a wide variety of topics
that are suitable for a wide range of age groups, from early readers to elderly seniors.
If you develop the habit of reading the clues in order (the narrative) before working the puzzle,
you will find it much easier to solve our puzzles and realize that the puzzle is "talking" to you.

Introducing Us & our Puzzles
What is a "Talking Puzzle"?
Our "Talking Puzzle" narratives take many forms:
1. Jokes, puns, riddles and just plain whimsy that will make you laugh and brighten your day;
2. Very short stories, songs or poems that might entertain or amuse you;
3. Narratives about educational topics that will teach you ideas or facts
you didn’t know or hadn’t really thought about before;
4. Narratives that leave you with a question and get you thinking or considering doing research;
5. Special puzzles that talk about various holidays, social issues, customs and/or traditions;
6.Narratives that contain thoughts, philosophy or opinions about various topics;
7. Narratives that contain scripture or Bible Humor, or sections of the Bible, like a Psalm
or parable, that will actually help you learn more about God and draw closer to Jesus.

Our FREE downloads are packets of 5 puzzles each,
which you can download as you please.

NOTE:
We are a small, new 'mom and pop' operation with one 'employee' and God in charge. The four of us spend approximately 4 - 5 hours creating each unique and challenging puzzle from start to finish. Our puzzles will never be sold in books like other word search puzzles, that only take a few minutes to solve, nor could they ever be computer generated like many puzzles today.

These puzzles are NOT your ordinary word search puzzles and may take you longer than you thought to solve. That’s why they are so much more educational and entertaining than anything out there, and that is why, before you begin working a puzzle, you should read all the directions and tips on the "Instruction" page that comes with every 5-pack of puzzles.
They are designed using a method you've never seen before. Even experienced puzzlers will generally need at least an hour to work each puzzle, plus extra time on the 'Hidden Word Search Challenge', so they will keep you and your family busy and happily entertained for awhile.
